My Students
I teach in a nice community outside of Savannah, Georgia. The students in my classroom are amazing and energetic learners. They are constantly looking for new and exciting ways to learn second grade content.
From the minute my students walk in my door, I want them to be excited about learning and for them to experience a wonderful day.
By creating a fun and engaging classroom, I hope to inspire and educate my students to continue their paths to an excellent education!
My Project
SumBlox could easily be the next best thing for my students' math groups! SumBlox are wooden educational blocks that students use to build different combinations of numbers. There are endless ways that I can use them for my students. I can see them being a huge asset in small groups, but I can also see them being used in whole group lessons. The size of the blocks add up to show addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division combinations. This will help my students with automaticity of math facts, while building and creating. I have been working really hard to create a makerspace and STEM station in my classroom, and these would be an amazing addition for my students!
