My students are eager to learn new things and I am looking for ways to make this school year awesome for them given everything they have been through this year. We had a wave of COVID hit our class in November, with so many students gone, they missed out on valuable learning.
In this class, I cultivate an atmosphere that students want to learn in.
With students missing valuable learning, I would love to get math tools to help them catch up. I also believe that building my library with a variety of leveled books can help those students who have missed reading instruction. Also using various school supplies will keep great learning happening and keep students motivated.
My Project
My students want to do their best and I want to provide the tools to help bridge gaps from COVID-19. By bringing in new colored pencils and markers they will be able to make their work pop and be creative. I also find that hands-on activities keep students engaged and on track like the multiplication and fraction game, along with using dry erase boards for working out math problems everyday so the markers are needed. In 5th grade we are learning all the states and capitals so the flash cards will be a test too for those visual learners. I am a new teacher and am always looking for engaging books for my students to read in class, by having a variety of books students who missed reading during school closers can have books on their levels. The prizes will be used tho help motivate students to do their best in school.
