Successful Silence

Help me give my students noise cancelling headphones because sometimes our students are sensitive to the loud noises within the classroom, lunchroom, gym, and playground.

Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I work in Intensive Autism Special Education classroom. They deserve to learn in so many different ways so that they are successful.

As a team we want to find and use a curriculum across our entire Intensive Autism program so that we are always consistent with our kids and help them to move successfully through the program.

The district I work for is known as a struggling district. We are defying the odds as it is with our scores through the state and within the district. Our students are hard workers but they are lacking in wants. These students deserve great and I want to provide them with things they would never see at home.

My students are amazing! Some of them would rather be at school than at home. They need some different ways of learning to give them different skills to make them successful.

My Project

Noise can be troubling sometimes for students with sensory needs. My team and I would love to give our students tools such as the noise cancelling headphones to help them with noise within the school.

We include our students more and more within the classrooms during class time and specials, as well as during assemblies and lunch and recess.

Noise cancelling headphones are a great way for students to cover up the overwhelming noises they hear and focus more on social interactions as well as academic success.

We have a specialized program at our school and have almost 30 students within that program. We are growing every year and want to provided enough for all of our students to experience that success at school so they can grow to find the best tools in their own daily lives.
