This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I am a first-year art teacher that was given a room with a lot of expired and unusable art supplies that was unsalvageable despite my best efforts. This made finding supplies in the quantities needed to teach 750+ kids a week tricky!
I've had the time of my life forming relationships with my kids and exposing them to materials and cultures and different artists during the first semester, and plan on hitting the ground running for the second semester!
Having this project funded with items such as markers and crayons, will greatly aid me in keeping my art class up and running, and even give me the possibility of starting an after-school art program!
