Successful Learning Tools for a School Year During a Pandemic
Help me give my students paper, Play-Doh, sketchpads, and other tools they needs to have a successful school year during a pandemic! These supplies will help them for in person learning and remote learning.

it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am lucky to still have the opportunity to teach my students remotely. They are in a Pre-K ICT classroom. They all have different learning styles which calls for a lot of differentiated instruction. They come from a low income neighborhood and do not always come to school ready to learn. I help them feel safe and heard in my classroom. Their opinions matter in how they learn and what they want to learn. They enjoy exploring different materials through play. For most of them, in school is their only time to explore play.
My Project
This school year will be different! This school year has motivated me to be more thoughtful with thinking about what tools my students need at home and in school to have a successful school year. I created this project so that each of my students can have their individual learning kits at home and in school so that they are not missing out on any learning throughout the week. I would like to use these materials so that my students have individual art kits that include play dough, markers, paint, crayons, colored pencils, and glue sticks so that they do not have to share. This will help promote cleanliness throughout the classroom and make sure that they have these same schools for when they are learning remotely. Our students will also go home with notebooks and construction paper so that they can complete assignments at home. Our families are struggling financially and we want to make sure that they do not have to worry about school supplies. I will use the laminator to create reusable tools for students. Each child will have a storage box for supplies to take home. Carpet spots and masking tape will help create boundaries in the classroom. Dry erase markers, scissors and paint brushes will also be provided to children for at home and in school learning. I would also love more literature in the library about coronavirus which is why I selected the picture book Masked Ninja.
I teach in a Pre-K ICT classroom where our students need a little bit more support with tools that they need to learn, especially during this school year where some students will be doing remote learning and in person learning.
