Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This is my first year teaching children k-2 that are on the autism spectrum in Massachusetts. I have taken a few weeks to really see what my class would benefit from having that we currently don't have or need more of. Each student learns differently and I am trying to figure out strategies that will help them navigate in the classroom.
As a new teacher I am trying to provide the best learning experience that I can give them and do what I can to help them individually.The students in my classroom love coloring so I think it is very important to have different supplies where they can utilize their artistic talents.
We also use ipads during literacy and math centers and I believe it will be beneficial for my students to have headphones so they can concentrate on what they are doing those times. I also spend a lot of time laminating , velcroing, and hanging things around the classroom for visuals.
Please help me provide a fun but meaningful experience for my students. I feel like the materials I have added will be essential for successful and fun learning in the class.
