This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a small country school. We are seven miles out of town and away from other schools. Our students are mostly made up of the the farm, dairy, and crop owners' and workers' children. A big part of them come from other states or countries to work in the vibrant agricultural area.

While small schools do not receive as much funding as larger schools the students shouldn't be short changed.

My kids are hard working students who deserve a quality education!

My Project

Building fine motor skills in kindergarten sets my students up for success in all areas of their education. These tools will help my students build their fine motor skills while learning their state standards. These tools will make learning fun and engaging.

Kindergartners love anything that has magnets and these fishing games will challenge their ability to catch a fish with a word or number on it as well as be able to read the word or number.

Once their hand muscles are strengthened, students find writing easier. This allows them to focus on their academics more than their writing skills.
