My Students

I teach second graders in Chicago, IL. My students are overflowing with curiosity, intelligence and potential. As we enter our school year, we are uncertain of what it will look like - and it is incredibly important to us as their educators to support these amazing and resilient kids!

During these unprecedented times, our students have shown incredible grit and determination to continue with their learning - with your help I can provide them with the best learning experience possible.

Each student brings with them a unique history, learning style and developmental needs. While learning at home, I can provide them with a fiercely safe learning environment and materials for growth academically, socially and emotionally.

My Project

My scholars are incredibly hard-working and driven to succeed. While their determination while learning online has been un-matched, they also have been missing the environment while being at school.

With these materials, I will be able to create a positive learning environment for each student in their own learning space at home.

I will be able to provide them with tools to manage their emotions, as well as materials for them to enjoy their breaks during the school day. Academic learning is incredibly important during these times, but it is incredibly important to continue to foster the growth of social-emotional skills while at home!

As we prepare to begin this school year, things look a bit different. We are collecting materials for our students to guide them towards success, but instead of preparing desks we are preparing to send these materials home. Help me send each scholar home with the materials they need to be a successful learner!
