My Project

I am the occupational therapist at our school! I help the students I work with to be able to participate in daily classroom activities. These materials will support my students who require various fine motor and sensory supports to complete these tasks. My students in the Autistic Support classroom are in need of materials to provide deep pressure (compression vests) and vestibular input (swivel chair, therapy ball) which can support an overall self-regulated state.

My students have to work extra hard to process the sensory input throughout the school day.

These materials will be extremely helpful for their bodies regulate this sensory feedback. The therapy ball will be used to provide deep pressure input or as a ball chair in the classroom. The pump is needed to inflate available materials as well. Additional materials will support students in regular education classrooms when completing daily writing tasks.
