Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My second graders this year have proven that anything is possible in the classroom. These students only know what it's like to go to school during a pandemic (Kindergarten 2020 students), so their abilities and ways of thinking are much different than students I've had in the past. With that being said, I've had to tap into my creative mind and think outside the box to help my students become successful learners.
My intention is to incorporate more use of manipulatives during math time and implement more movement in the classroom for my students.
The teaching easel will allow me to teach from anywhere in my classroom. Whether that be in small groups, at the carpet, and even outside of my classroom. With an easel, this makes opportunities for student learning much more abundant and flexible.
