My Students

I believe that every student should walk into a well-stocked classroom where they will always have the supplies to create, learn, and explore new ideas.

Welcome to a 3rd grade, bilingual classroom full of hard-working, enthusiastic students!

My bilingual classroom is the landing spot for 3rd graders who have just arrived in the United States. My students are incredibly hard workers who always come to school ready to learn, no matter what is going on outside of the classroom. My goal as a teacher is to provide my students with all that they need to be successful learners.

My Project

When I was a student, I hated being stuck at my desk all day. My best memories of school come from classes where I was allowed to move around and work where I felt most comfortable. My students move around the classroom and complete their work, but many times they have to find space on the cold tile floor to sit down. Many times, the floor is not properly cleaned, and my students clothes get dirty from the floor as well.

My students love to work in different spots around the room - with a carpet, they would be able to have a warm, comfortable place to sit and do their work, or listen to a read-aloud story.

Having this carpet to replace our old, worn-out carpet will give my students another space to sit and complete their work in class. Additionally, because we are a project-based learning classroom, my students move around the classroom a lot as they work on projects and collaborate in groups to work towards their unit goals. Having this new carpet to replace our old one will give my students another collaborative work space where they can sit in groups and work together to complete their projects. With your support, my students will be able to gather on the warm, comfortable carpet rather than the cold tile floor.
