Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My kiddos live in a high poverty area. My school is a Title I school. Every day is a struggle for some, more than others. Giving them the opportunity to do hands-on center rotations lets our tactile learners excel. My incoming Littles are at different learning levels and need as much guidance as possible because they were not able to finish out the school year in class.
Please help my Littles get materials that will help them adjust and continue learning through enrichment distance learning.
I want to give my students distance learning materials due to the COVID-19 pandemic. My students will have to transition into meeting online and working independently this school year. Some students will need a quick reference guide to look at while the teacher meets with another child one on one.
My Project
With these materials, I will create a reference binder for each child. Said binders will have anchor charts and reference guides. These binders will be used after the virtual lesson, while they do their independent work. The composition books are for daily journal writing. It is important to have my Littles write as much as possible. Writing is imperative for all subjects. I will also be making laminated centers for each child to be able to practice math, reading, and science standards.
