My Students

My students are young adults struggling to find themselves and their place in this world. They are very creative, artistic, and brimming with enthusiasm. Many of them live in shelters and/or are living with their grandparents or other extended family.

As an inner city teacher, my students are faced with many challenges but every day I watch my students push through their issues and pursue excellence.

They want to make their mark on this world and with the proper tools and encouragement I believe they'll do just that.

My Project

As a result of the pandemic my students are forced to learn from home. Due to my aged and inadequate technology many times my equipment lags and pauses during critical instruction time. These disruptions cause my students to lose interest in their studies.

I don't want my students to fall behind and not be successful in their studies because of ineffective technology.

Having a new laptop will allow me to impact my student's virtual learning in a positive way and expose them to educational opportunities they may not otherwise experience. This laptop will allow me to take my students on virtual field trips and introduce new concepts without computer glitches and lags.
