Styling My Way Through Math & Science

Help me give my students need this Surface Pro Keyboard & Stylus to be able to connect to the Surface Pro Laptop in our classroom so the will be able to work out math and science problems.

My Students

My target students are in the 7th and 8th grades at a Title I school in the Delta with a very high population of students who qualify for free or reduced-price lunch. They are incredibly bright and eager to learn. They love working on inquiry-driven projects that require them to work together and apply 21st-century skills. This project will allow students from varied economic backgrounds to work collaboratively with the teacher to prepare them for the workforce they will enter.

My Project

Students learn in so many ways. Some by seeing and doing, others by touch & feel; a few even simply by hearing. It is so important that students have the tools to help them figure the thing out in their learning style.

Providing modern students with the tools they need for success is vital in today's society.

We already have a Surface Pro tablet in our classroom that we received through Donors Choose. However, we did not realize that it did not come with a keyboard and stylus pen. These two items are essential for the student to have access to.

This unique technology allows students to enter information by touch, keyboard or stylus. They can take notes from science experiments, convert their stylus written notes to typed text and share them with classmates. They can also use the stylus feature to work out math problems and equations, and in real-time share them with a teacher for the help they need. All the images can be saved for future reference.

I am excited for my students to have access to these amazing tools for success.
