This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My class mission is to foster an engaging and supportive learning atmosphere that caters to the diverse needs of our students. Currently, the small group table equipped with too big, and low quality seating that hampers effective learning, especially during small group instruction sessions which are crucial for personalized and differentiated teaching. I have a wide range of learners, which makes differentiation during small groups an absolute necessity that is done everyday in the room.

The upper elementary students, who are in critical stages of cognitive and social development, require seating that supports their constant growth and long-term focus.

Unfortunately, the existing chairs in our classrooms are not conducive to this need; they are inadequately designed for extended use and are too large to fit the amount of students per small group at the designated table.

By investing in high-quality, durable chairs, we will create a more comfortable and effective learning environment. Sturdy chairs will not only enhance physical comfort but also promote better concentration and participation during small group activities, ultimately leading to improved academic outcomes.
