Help me give my students sturdy size appropriate tables that will help continue their learning. We have old tables from the cafeteria, that are falling apart.
My Pre-K students are such an exciting group of four-year-old's. They have mixed interests and abilities. My students are inquisitive and enjoy learning as they love to learn about the world around them. Some of them are beginning to read with their family, mostly sight words, yet others still haven't learned their letters as they are emergent readers. They come from a mixed minority ethnicity as our school is in a low social economic community with our student Title I population being over 90%.
My Project
The donation I have requested for our class is going to be used every day in our classroom. The students use the tables during small group activities such as math including counting and sorting etc.. Creative designs of art, cutting and pasting, creating 3D art figures with play dough, science projects, mixing colors, predicting and many other activities. The tables will allow the students to be comfortable as they complete their various activities. The tables we are currently using have missing strips on the sides and unstable legs. I want to give them an opportunity to enjoy their learning.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
