My Project
As we enter a NEW year, I plan to introduce a NEW approach that will encourage and promote positive behavior in my classroom. This new method will acknowledge and reward students, on a regular basis, who model these behaviors.
This new approach will fill my classroom with positivity and show students the importance of believing in themselves!
Creating a positive atmosphere encourages children to feel safe, comfortable, and motivated to engage in learning activities. When students feel good about their classroom environment, they are more likely to participate actively and learn effectively. My new approach is to promote positive behavior by providing students with stuffed animal buddies. When students exhibit a positive behavior, they will receive a stuffed animal to hang out with for an entire day. The buddies will come with a certificate that outlines the students’ behavior.
Promoting positive behavior in a first-grade classroom sets the stage for a supportive, encouraging, and conducive learning environment. It not only benefits the students' academic progress but also plays a significant role in their social and emotional development, laying a foundation for their future success.
