Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are awesome, funny, and diligent even though going to the school during a pandemic is emotionally and physically exhausting. They make time in class fly by. In fact, time with my students doesn't feel like work. It feels like being at a BBQ with family. We do a lot of laughing and still manage to learn. In other words, my students make class feel like home.
My students will use Marjane Satrapi's illustrated memoir "Persepolis" in order to explore themes involving women, morality, fear, freedom, culture, family, and many other topics.
