My students are in a full-time, ICT, second-grade classroom. Many of my students come from low-income families. Several are English language learners. There are a few that come from single-parent (or single-grandparent) households.
All of my students are unique individuals who are always eager to learn and be engaged in exciting activities.
My diverse second graders come from a variety of backgrounds and have different needs and wants. All of my students are eager to learn, with open minds, ready to be filled with knowledge.
Our class has become their second family. They are very energetic and enjoy working with each other, love projects and strive to do their best. All in all, they are a group of awesome kids!
My Project
Working from home continues to be a struggle for the students I serve and their parents. Many are worried about the next school year and how to best prepare each child for it.
I would like to provide an opportunity for them to continue working hard and best prepare them for 3rd grade.
I can do this by providing each child with a prep book for the following year and to review all the work we have covered this year. The books would provide varied subject area so that students are exposed to all subjects at all levels.
More than a third of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
