My students need more books they love to read. We love to read Mo Willems, Diane DeGroat, and Eve Bunting.

My Students
Help us read about our favorite authors! Do you remember the first time you read a series of books that you love? In Kindergarten this is where it begins.
My students are low income Kindergarten students.
My Kindergarteners are given free breakfast, free lunch, and a free snack during the school day. Even though they have hardships at home, all my students are passionate about reading. Most haven't had the chance to pick up a book, which is why it is so exciting for them to see books when they walk into my room.
My Project
I am asking for more books my students love. My students love to read about Mo Willems. They love reading and writing about their adventures like the pigeon in her stories. My students love listening to Diane DeGroat's books where they sympathize with the main character. Another author they love is Eve Bunting. All of her books have an inspiring message that most of my students can relate to. By getting more books by these authors my students will be able to learn more about their favorite characters and authors.
Help us learn more and read more about our favorite characters and authors.
Give us the opportunity to fall in love with books like you may have when you were young. Encourage us to become better readers and writers by providing more books for us.
