My Project
Currently, in our classroom, we are studying our local community. One of the places that is popular in our community is a local park. This local park has a lake with geese, swans, and ducks present. My students love this park, and talk about it often.
These materials will allow my students to tell stories about their visit to the park, sharing their lives with their classmates and making connections to our neighborhood.
Students will see that even when not in school, we exist in a larger community, and many of our students frequent the same places that others in the class do. This will help us develop greater connections not only to each other, but to our community.
