My Project
In my study skills classroom, I attempt to create an encouraging and comfortable environment. But sitting for over an hour doing homework is difficult for many students!
Hot drinks and snacks help keep students awake and focused.
During the long 90-minute block periods, students can move around and make a hot drink as a mental break and then get back to work. Students cannot focus when they are tired and hungry!
I practice mindfulness in my classroom and cozy drinks are helpful in creating a comfortable and productive learning environment.
