This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Being able to download books and read using an ereader is pretty standard practice for most folks but not my students. My students do not usually get such exposure to devices such as ereaders. I would like to give my students access to an ereader to enhance reading skills.
My students are group of special needs students with learning disabilities in a high poverty area in South Central.
My students face adversity on a daily basis in their lives. Many of them come from challenging life situations and school is a safe haven for them. Despite their challenges, we move forward and improve our academic skills.
My Project
Please help me give my students access to an opportunity that they may not otherwise have. My students are very interested in technology. The use of the ereader will clearly motivate students to want to read more as it peaks their interest. Students are excited and cannot wait to use their new ereader.
Every students deserves the opportunity to use technology as a tool for enhancing reading skills.
We can do it! Help us improve our reading skills. Give us the opportunity to have access to such a cool device.
