This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Children on the autistic spectrum may have similar characteristics but not one student on the autistic spectrum is the same. They have diverse learning needs. Like many children, children with autism use technology. For the upcoming school year, I will be teaching grades k-2nd grade and want to set up a technology station that will allow me to tap into my student's interests and help my students grow academically and foster independence in a structured environment.
I would also like to give my students a technology station with an iPad to allow them to learn how to use technology and explore learning while gaining life skills in a new way.
With an iPad, students can work on different academic skills in a more interesting way, have access to different windows of learning, and also have access to apps that will allow students to work on life skills virtually that they would not have access to otherwise.
More than half of students from low‑income households
