Students Who Advocate Technology

My Students

Our area was affected by Hurricane Harvey and many students still feel the effects today. They never allowed this to dampen their fire to learn, be successful, and help others.

My students put together special student-led technology sessions throughout the year in addition to how-to videos and one-on-one software applications help.

These students are to be the first line of support for our students and teachers. If we are unable to assist them, help tickets are submitted to our campus technology help desk.

My Project

My students are trained in software applications, technology integration, and customer service so that they can mentor and empower other students and teachers with life-long technology knowledge and digital citizenship skills. Even if these students don't pursue a career in information technology or other computer-related fields, they will benefit from the leadership, communication, working relationships, team building, project management, and public speaking skills gained throughout the year.

We are in need of 30 inch height stools so that students can sit at 42 inch high tables where they can use multiple devices at a time to increase their skill set.

We are also in need of security locks for the devices.

It is not easy to work with multiple devices sitting in a traditional student desk.
