I currently teach 4th grade scholars in the Miami, Florida area in a difficult neighborhood of extreme poverty. I have enjoyed my year so much that I want to continue on with my scholars next year to 5th grade. My students are bright, intuitive, and have the drive to succeed no matter their circumstances. My students attend one of the lowest-achieving schools with little access to resources and experiences.
My students face unimaginable obstacles inside and outside of the classroom.
A majority of my students are at least a grade level behind where they should be, but that doesn't affect their determination to succeed. My students have a growth mindset, and they continue to amaze me with their perseverance and persistence. They will succeed. They will achieve.
The sky is the limit at my elementary school!
My Project
Flocabulary is an amazing, interactive, engaging, and up beat resource!
While students are completing distance learning, my students need access to engaging and interactive videos.
Flocabulary is the most engaging resource. It covers all grade levels and reading standards. No matter what the students are learning, there is a catchy song to accompany the lesson. This resource will encourage life-long lessons, no matter where the child is learning. With the given times, we want students to be excited to learn from home. This resource will help do that and much more.
