My Students
My third-grade students are eager to learn. They are curious, creative, and have great imaginations even though we are a Title I school in a high poverty neighborhood.
School is a safe place and I do my best to make my classroom fun and exciting.
Most of my students live in public housing. Their neighborhoods are rough and school is a place for them to be safe. My class is mostly African American children who face a lot of challenges.
My job, as a teacher, is to help them overcome these challenges and become the amazing adults I know they can become.
My Project
Technology and the Arts must be combined to help students succeed in the 21st century! This Nikon Camera will be used in all areas of academics. My students will learn the art of photography while learning about math, science, reading, and social studies.
Help my students to tell their own stories through photography!
Imagine how much more fun learning can be if you photograph your experiments and then have the opportunity to write about it. Students will learn to interview classmates and others and put together their own digital websites through google classroom.
Technology is expensive and most of my students have never even seen a camera. You can give them an opportunity to learn to use a camera, which will open up their world. Also by helping us my students will learn 21st-century skills to be successful in today's world. I can not give them this gift without your help. All donations are tax-deductible, please help us!
