Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I teach at a low-income/high poverty school; my students arrive each morning tired and hungry. Many of my students have already, that morning, dealt with family issues that most student might never face in a lifetime. Despite these challenges, my students are hungry to learn and be successful.

"Don't let their life situations that they are dealing with define who they are or can be!"

Help me create a safe environment, where my students can come into the classroom each morning knowing that they will have their own personal safe place. This safe place will contain the personal tools they need to be successful. This will allow the students to take control and ownership of his or her learning.

My Project

These donations will give the students a chance to learn how to care for the materials they need to be the best student he or she can be. The students will be able to learn to be responsible for his or her learning.

The chair organizers will give the students their own personal space that many of them have never had before.

He or she will learn how to be a responsible learner. They will also learn why it is important to take care of their resources. This personal space will give each student an active role in the classroom learning community.
