My Project

Thank you for visiting my page! My middle school math class is full of hardworking and creative students. My students have a variety of challenges ranging from Autism to Sensory processing disorders to ADHD and behavioral struggles. Over 90% of them are on individualized education plans. The special needs of my students mean that I must endeavor to have creative and fluid lessons to keep them engaged.

By donating to our project, you will help to improve the quality and diversity of the curriculum that is essential to the learning process in math class.

The Teachers Pay Teachers website has a wide variety of lesson plans that helps me to differentiate my lessons for the diverse population that I teach. Access to these lessons helps me to target students at their exact ability levels and learning styles.

My students love to work together to tackle challenges in the classroom. In this supported environment, they are encouraged to communicate, problem-solve, and utilize teamwork to tackle real-world situations and problems. Because of the diverse abilities and challenges of my students I have learned to be adaptive in how I approach each student's needs in the classroom. This also means that I need to diversify and modify my lessons in order to keep them engaged.

My classroom is also in need of soda sleeves to organize the computer mice, a hub to accommodate classroom tech, cord wraps & binder clips for better organization, and sets of dice for the math games that we play in class.
