Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 4th graders are always motivated and excited to learn, and need help with staying on task and organized with their learning materials. My students are bright, inquisitive, and want to come to school each and every day to learn something new; however, they struggle with keeping track of their individual learning materials and staying focused for long periods of time when working on their own. My students come from a lower income district, and often aren't sent to school with the essential organizational school materials that will help them keep motivated. I am also hoping to integrate impactful instructional technology to effectively model math and reading strategies for my students and alongside my students.
My Project
I am hoping to keep my students engaged in the introduction and modeling of new and important math and reading strategies.
These materials will be very important and impactful in helping my students stay engaged and organized.
The binders, pencil bags, and timers will help keep students organized and on task. I want to teach my students to those important organizational life skills. I am hoping to help my students create a math notebook complete with copies of anchor charts and organizers that go along with my schools math curriculum.
