Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

Thought we'd see each other in two weeks, it turns out we wouldn't see each other until weeks later via devices mostly borrowed from school. They miss their friends, school, and their teacher! We slowly have transitioned to meeting weekly on Zoom and trying to using numerous applications to learn. A few have not been able to log on so for now they're happy to talk on the telephone or text on the Remind app.

My Project

I am requesting food so that my students can focus on learning and not on feeling hungry or worried that their parents can't buy them snacks. I will make goody boxes with a yummy variety of snacks that they can eat while they learn from home.

They will be so happy to receive this surprise and it will help their parents out enormously.

I know that since my students have been staying home many parents are not able to work. I can't wait to see their beaming smiles as they open their box!
