Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students come from high-poverty neighborhoods; all of which have been struggling to overcome educational obstacles and labels that have been given to them. This school year, I am excited and blessed to work with a group of vivacious dual-identified 6th grade ELL/ special education students.

The students will use materials such as dry erase markers and chart papers to work.

The group chart organizer will help organize our classroom groups so the students can get ready and be excited to develop their reading, writing, and math skills.

They are excited to support each other in their learning through technology and modeling. I am lucky to have such empathetic young citizens.

These amazing children the education they deserve. I have been a part of this school's culture for five years and there is nowhere else I would rather be. The students here are special, and all deserve a chance to succeed.
