This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
I am the elementary music teacher at my school. I teach music to the children in my school.
We need to replace the recorders that all of the third grade students use. Our old ones are chipped and cracked. They no longer work as well as they once did. My supply budget does not allow for me to replace these recorders.
We need 60 soprano recorders for use with the third grades in our school. The recorders allow every student a chance to play a musical instrument. This also gives students wishing to join the band a leg up. The students learn basic music theory and get a chance to perform for each other.
Please support this project. This project can bring the love of music to a child. Who knows, playing the recorder could produce the next Kenny G or Louis Armstrong. Thank you for taking the time to read my proposal.
