Students Need Food to Thrive and Survive

Help me give my students supplemental snacks and food for daily needs. We cant pay for all the kids that need food. Anything will help. Thank you!

My Project

My school, Mountain Pointe high school in Phoenix, AZ is in need of food and snacks that can be given to students in need on a daily basis. We have a high percentage of students on free and reduced lunch, with many of the same students needing more than what they are able to get from just that. Any amount or items will help greatly.

We currently have access to and use food and supplies donated during our annual food drive from early in the year, but those supplies and food options are running out quickly.

Having snacks as an option to hand out each day, not only allows us to supplement those students in need but also helps us to identify those for our Friday, backpack program, in which students in need are able to "shop" in the pantry for food for the weekend that they can take home to their families. We currently have 10+ students identified thru our handing out free snacks each day. But, we are running low on snacks to give out, and our food drive to fill the Pantry is not until October, and the summer support boxes will clean us out of most of the current supply.
