My students are very diverse in backgrounds and educational needs.
They range from very intelligent to students with learning disabilities. My students treat each other like family. Our school is a large school with students in grades Pre-K to 4th. Our school is a low poverty school with most students on free or reduced lunch.
My Project
My students will use the tablet in a literacy center or in a research center. The tablet will be used in different ways depending on the center. The students will listen to stories and answer comprehension questions using the tablet. Also, the students will use the tablet to conduct a search for their research projects. The tablet will help incorporate technology into their center time.
Technology is a huge part of education.
Increasing technology in the classroom for the use improving research skills and literacy skills will greatly affect my students in the classroom. Reading fluency and comprehension will improve as the tablet is used in the literacy center. Students will learn research skills that they can use as they continue to farther their education. Donations to this project will help students become life long learners.
