This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our school does not have the money to spend on extra supplies for the classroom or furniture.My students need a convertible cafeteria bench to eat lunch upon. This will help students socialize more, interact with their peers, and have healthy eating habits so they are not rushed at lunch time.
We do not have a PTA fund with extra money, and in California there has been a severe budget cut for our schools.
We need new cafeteria tables desperately for this year and many years to come.These cafeteria will enable us to actually sit down at tables that are not broken, out dated, and the whole cafeteria time when they eat is dependent on open tables. We will be able to come down for lunch and eat at cafeteria benches that are not broken and made and used literally in the 1950's!A place to enjoy a meal and socialize with peers. Lunch should be an enjoyable part of the school day for students, offering a break from classroom work and a place to relax, socialize, and become nourished.Mealtimes,
in the cafeteria can also be used to promote healthy eating habits and encourage children to try new foods. The cafeteria, especially in elementary schools, can be one of the best contexts where appropriate social interaction and behavior is mod- eled and taught.
My Project
I know this is a very large expensive purchase, so I am hoping to get donations little by little. This will go a long way and help out in a very big, big way.Our school is outdated, and these cafeteria benches were literally used in the 1950s. They are coming a part and every year we loose one, because the school can no longer use them. What better way to help my school, than to help us eat at a cafeteria bench where all children learn how to socialize, have time to breathe, love and develop long lasting friendships.Please donate what you can and help us get a start on every year with new cafeteria benches that are not broken, outdated and need to be retired. Your help means so much! We will be able to use our new tables and make the lasting friendships, while eating our nutritious lunch! We will use this for years and years!

My students need some new cafeteria benches/tables to sit on when they are eating their lunch.
There is a shortage for in the lunchroom of tables. The tables are almost 60 years old. They are falling apart. With your help we can get some new places to sit for lunch!
