Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

It is well known that students learn more when they are having fun. If students are engaged and connected to their learning their is no limit to their success.

Introducing games and engaging books into the classroom enhances my students learning.

Cooperative games help my students learn important social skills, such as taking turns, working as a team, supporting each others success, and using the strengths of each player. Learning games that focus on reading comprehension skills such as inferring and making conclusions in a fun and exciting way helps my students to feel confidence and success with these skills that directly transfer into the classroom. Additionally, exciting and relatable stories with beautiful illustrations helps my students to discover the love of reading and build confidence in their own reading skills. The activities and books that I have chosen are directly related to the skills my students most need and will most benefit from.
