Sending wishes of love, health, and safety to All.
As our students and educators look ahead to the upcoming school year, we are uncertain about many details.
Paradoxically, as teachers in North Minneapolis, we are certain about some things; our students deserve fair, consistent, and equitable resources. They always have.
The inequities in our education system make the goal of equitable education extremely challenging for many students, families, and teachers. If you are able and willing, please consider donating to our future class of Third Grade students. They need reliable technology to support the highest quality education, whether virtual or in-person. Chromebooks are essential to distance learning, as well as providing access to differentiated learning opportunities within the live classroom.
We certainly have more work to do and our students need more resources to move forward, but we hope this will be a start.

My Project
Thank you for taking the time to read about our students and this project. We are grateful.
I have been teaching 6th Grade English Language Arts for the past two years in North Minneapolis.
Next year, I’ll be teaching 3rd grade students at Cityview Elementary, very close to Olson in North Minneapolis.
My colleagues and I continue to see our students experience the vast discrepancies in equitable education each and every day. We want our students to thrive. While we recognize how difficult this time is for so very, very many, we do need community support. Our students need support, and they need the basics. Reliable Chromebooks are the start to meeting their needs and will make a vital difference to learning.
This project will fully honor the challenges and heartbreaks that recent events have imposed on so very many humans, including students and families. This project is based upon building a new foundation for evolving the education system. and to create a more collective, well-intentioned, forward-moving human kind. Thank you so much.
