Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Forget holiday lights, my students' smiles can light up any night! My students live in one of the most poverty stricken zip codes in America. We are a Title I school where 98% of the students are living below the poverty line.
My students need toys and games to open up and play with during this time of giving.
These students need gifts for the holidays; please help me spread joy to these worthy girls and boys.
Unfortunately these families have little left over for gifts... after seeing to their children's most basic needs. Providing shelter, food, clothing and warmth for their little ones leaves no money for presents.
My students often return after the holiday break stating that they got socks, hats, scarfs or nothing at all for the holidays. Please help me change that this year! We need motivational wristbands, bubbles, bouncy balls and play-dough.
