Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are hard-working, creative, highly motivated, and diverse groups of learners. They come to school ready to learn, and I want to give them a safe, happy, and productive classroom.

I teach at a Title I school in Houston where ninety percent of the students receive free lunch.

Some of the students in my school participate in the Backpack Buddy program. My students are third grade, English Language Learners. My students are eager to learn and do their best to make their parents, teachers, and school proud.

My Project

This holiday season I would love to surprise my third graders with a small bag full of gifts. I am requesting coloring books, crayons, fuzzy socks, snacks, and gift bags to give my students before winter break. Due to Covid-19, I am teaching the Hybrid model. I have 15 students in person and 11 virtually. I will mail the gifts to my virtual students. I know that receiving gifts will bring great joy to all of my students. Thank you for considering giving this wonderful gift to my students.
