Help me give my students some words of encouragement via a school wide initiative to put postcards in teachers hands. This will help inspire a culture of positivity and community.
In my rural area community is a major influence in our school environment. This project will supply teachers with postcards. Teachers will be given enough postcards to write each student at least once during the school year.
Students receiving postcards will make positivity a cornerstone of the school culture.
With these postcards teachers can reach out to kids in a different way to communicate encouraging words, support or appreciation throughout the year.
Teachers would be encouraged each month to reach out to students. By the end of the year each student would have received at least one positive note from their teacher. They will benefit from these materials by receiving positive words and by knowing they have an adult at school in their corner.
I want every student to know that have people that care about them in the school building. That can make a difference by helping chronic absences and the mental health of students who might be experiencing some challenges.
