My project needs 40 magnetic whiteboards so students can each have one to write on as well as fine tip and chisel tip markers to use for math calculations, handwriting practice, spelling practice, science explorations, and collaborative teaching activities.

I am a fourth grade teacher who has 36 students in my general education classroom. We also have all the fourth grade special education students come in our room everyday for science, social studies, health, and physical education. Our school has very little funding, and most everything we get for our classrooms is funded by the teachers. I really want to inspire my students to get excited about learning and improving.
My students participate in numerous interactive activities throughout the day, but it is difficult for me to afford all of the supplies needed. I want to inspire the students to love learning, and using whiteboards is one way to reinforce their learning in a unique way.
Students internalize what they learn when they are allowed to teach each other. The whiteboards will be used in a variety of hands-on reciprocal teaching activities. Whiteboards also engage the students and help them get excited about practicing and learning. We will frequently use the whiteboards and markers in our jeopardy reviews, math activities, and writing skills practice.
Your donation will inspire my students to enjoy learning and make it possible for them get daily practice in an interactive and fun way. It will also be good for the environment because the students will not need to use so much paper in the various subjects. My students will be so happy, and I'm sure it will make you feel good as well!
