This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I would like to give my students the materials to work with so they can have a better chance to focus. I have many kids tell me that they do not like hearing talking during class because the noise causes them to become sidetracked. I like privacy folders but the current ones I have are about three years old and are falling apart. Privacy folders give students a little more private time and space when we are a full class. These are great for testing and for independent reading.

I am saddened when I see the math scores and overall stress related to math, so I wanted to give students more tools that seem fun to use while learning.

They can use the manipulatives for centers and small group, or even with independent practice time.

I also need more storage space because utilizing the space I have already is filled with other tools. We will be retiring backpack hooks soon and I can use that space for shelving. I used to much tape this year for activities and I ran out of it quickly, so it is always to have some on hand. I use staples for many posters because I have a corkboard. I use staples for different subjects material.
