Students are Academically Engaged When Using Expo Markers!

My students need Expo dry erase markers and dry erase boards to help us integrate the arts into all subjects.

FULLY FUNDED! Mrs. Ryan's classroom raised $171

My Students

My third-grade students are eager to learn. They are curious, creative, and have great imaginations even though we are a Title I school in a high poverty neighborhood.

School is a safe place and I do my best to make my classroom fun and exciting.

Most of my students live in public housing. Their neighborhoods are rough and school is a place for them to be safe. My class is mostly African American children who face a lot of challenges.

My job, as a teacher, is to help them overcome these challenges and become the amazing adults I know they can become.

My Project

My students need Expo markers to learn. Students love learning with Expo markers. They will take more risks, tackle harder problems, when they feel they can easily fix their “mistake.” We have a chalkboard in the room that I will cover with dry erase paint. This will create more space for my students to learn. I believe strongly in creating a comfortable functional classroom. Dry erase boards and markers are also an excellent way for students to “teach” each other. When a student teaches another child both students benefit both socially and academically. As a turn around arts school I will also be using the markers to integrate art into all subjects.
