My Students

My students put the Awe in Awesome and are eager to learn and take on new challenges. They come from varied backgrounds, from their culture and ethnicity, yet they all share the same love for learning and becoming better versions of themselves. We are a Title I school, which means we have high financial needs and limited resources. Even with this challenge, my students are eager to take on every opportunity. Thanks to sites like DonorsChoose.org, and those who support us, we are able to provide these necessary opportunities to our amazing students!

My Project

The Apple Macbook that I am requesting will benefit every student in my classroom. As we move into a more technology-driven way of teaching and learning, it is important for our kids to become as digitally literate as possible so that they can create, innovate, design, collaborate, research, and learn more efficiently to help them thrive in their futures as students, employees, and citizens. As of right now, we have 30 students with only half of them having access to a computer. They need more opportunities, resources and time to utilize these tools and help aid in their learning. Furthermore, the number of students far outweighs the number of computers that they have access to, so I have had to allow students to use my personal laptop to get some work done. However, my personal laptop is outdated and often crashes, presenting challenges that limit my ability as a teacher to fully address the students in my classroom and those learning from home.
