Student Supply Storage Plus!

Help me give my students a storage cart for individual supply storage due to Covid, Scholastic News, Formative Loop math fluency, Teachers Pay Teachers resources, and a variety of other supplies to help us with fun learning projects.

My Students

I teach second graders. These second graders are so excited to participate in school when hands-on approaches and technology are involved. They are smart and creative. They are excited to participate in writer's workshop and publish all types of stories and create all types of art. They are excited to learn math skills, spelling, grammar, reading, vocabulary, and physical skills.

Second graders are the perfect age to foster a love of learning that should continue throughout their lives.

They live in view of the beautiful mountains and are active every minute of the day. Their favorite time is when we get together in our classroom for read aloud. They laugh and joke and support each other.

My Project

Due to Covid, we are unable to use shared supplies this year. Students will use the tote tray cart in this project to store learning items like books and manipulatives. In this way, students will only be accessing supplies that they have touched. Individual storage space will allow us to continue to utilize our learning tools and keep each other safe.

My second graders deserve the best!

We will use a variety of Teachers Pay Teachers resources to help us with our learning this year. Many of these products have a digital learning component in case we get sent home to quarantine again.

Formative Loop is going to help us with our math fluency. This program will allow students to practice their math skills on a daily basis. Students work at their own level. Once they pass off a concept they move on. If a student is having trouble and doesn't pass off a section, they get more practice on that concept, and move on when they pass it off. It a great program to help students practice the skills they need to be successful with our second grade math curriculum.

Scholastic News is so fun to share with second graders. They enjoy the content and love to see the new issues. It is such a great resource to add to our reading curriculum. The goal is to have students reading a variety of text and genres. Student magazines, like Scholastic News, are the perfect addition. The other supplies will help us with a variety of projects in class, from organization, to learning, to fun.
