This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are hardworking and have overcome many obstacles this school year. School has not been normal for these second graders their entire career. But they have not given up. We work hard to keep the classroom clean so we stay healthy. We are in need of cleaning supplies and wipes. My kids need sanitizer to keep their hands clean. There are many gaps to fill in academically. My students love to complete hands on project based learning activities. They often do not have the required basic materials such as pencils, crayons, scissors, and markers. We love to read stories together and currently do not have a nice classroom rug to sit on. Our carpet is old and torn. A rug would provide a more comfortable and safe sitting area for the students.
