Student Run News Room

Help me give my students the experience and materials they need to start their very own broadcast News student-run station! We need composition books, pencils, markers, various types of paper, a pencil sharpener, and paper towels.

My Project

This is the first year our middle school is having an elective class that is giving students the opportunity to create community, student autonomy, and highlighting the events, news, and projects that are important to THEM. We are establishing a Student-run News Network, where students will be reporters, editors, news directors, marketers, sales executives, and community advocates for their school. Because we are so new, and I am new to campus, I have the unique challenge of creating a functional newsroom in a choir room classroom. Challenge accepted!
