My Students
Imagine being a 10-year-old focusing on a lap top, helping three other siblings, parents at work, making your own snack and lunch, handling internet connections and disturbances, translating for school information for parents...this is the reality for many of my students. This is their remote learning experience.
With so many life changes and stressors, my 24 students still make sure to log in and participate everyday.
My Project
Students are SURVIVING successfully through this pandemic by focusing on their education because they fight to stay successful during this difficult time. Thus, my students deserve rewards for their consistent work ethic and for demonstrating our school value words: safe, responsible, and respect. To promote consistent work ethic and positive behavior, students had to achieve 20 tokens for demonstrating our school value words.
I asked my class what type of prizes they would like to receive for working so hard to earn our school/class tokens.
They want candy, bracelets, and stickers. My class earned a specific number of "tokens" to receive a reward. They voted for all these simple goodies.
