My Students

My students are such kind and respectful people. I am always blown away by their good quality work, and their respect for their peers, teachers, community, and school. Our school was brand new this year and believes in holding students accountable for their education. My reading class, in particular, has really grabbed ahold of this sentiment and has been working really hard to raise their reading level and their confidence in reading!

The eighth graders at our school are preparing themselves to go to high school.

They work hard in their classes and take their education seriously. My students are amazing, and I feel very privileged to work with them.

My Project

I asked my students what books they would recommend to their peers to get students excited about reading, and this list of books is 100% complied with the most popular requests in all my classes.

It worked!

They gave impromptu book talks in class about the books they have read and loved in the past and their peers were trying to scribble down the titles of books they were interested in.

I told them I would be submitting all the books they asked for to DonorsChoose to be funded and they can't wait to see these books in our classroom library!
